GLOSSARY
A typically negative emotional experience accompanied by corresponding, stereotypical physiological and behavioural bodily changes in response to any demand made upon it. Associated with stress appraisal. Compare between eustress and distress. Distinguished from burnout. See also Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and technostress.
