Q

Quality of Life

An overall general well-being that comprises (i) objective descriptors and (ii) subjective evaluations of physical, material, social, and emotional well-being together with the (iii) extent of personal development and purposeful activity, all weighted by a personal set of values.

Qualm

The feeling of apprehensive uneasiness or a sense of doubt towards one’s conduct.

Qualunquismo

Pronounced, “kwal-un-kwiz-mo”. An Italian term referring to the attitude of apathy, indifference, or disgust towards politics.

Queasiness

A feeling elicited by nausea (sick to one’s stomach). Queasiness can also refer to the uneasiness, nervous, or worried feeling caused by concern over something.

Quiet Ego

A self-identity that is neither excessively self-focused nor excessively other-focused – "an identity that incorporates others without losing the self.”
