Kama muta

A positive emotion experienced within intense social and community sharing. A feeling of being “moved by love” that is associated with physiological signatures such as warmth in the chest, tears, feeling choked up, and motivates commitment to further sharing.

Kilig

Pronounced, “hee-lig”. A Tagalog term that describes the feelings of exhilaration or elation arise from an interaction with someone one desires or fancies. Kilig can be thought of as the equivalent of ‘fangirling’.

Klüver-Bucy Syndrome

A lack of affect, particularly in fear to threat or aversive situations due to bilateral removal of the amygdala and inferior temporal cortex. It is also marked by hyperorality (tendency to examine objects orally), hypersexuality & indiscriminate dietary behaviour (eating previously rejected food).

Knowledge Emotions

Emotions associated with thinking and comprehending. These emotions include interest, confusion, and surprise, the most widely studied emotions in this family.

Koi no Yokan (恋の予感)

A Japanese expression for the feeling that the falling in love with someone is inevitable.
