Maximizing (Decision-Making Style)

GLOSSARY

An approach to decision making that involves the individual exerting high effort to capture and process information until the optimal choice is reached. Individuals who adopt this style search extensively through many alternatives with the goal of making the best choice. Contrast with satisficing. See also bounded rationality.
