Einfühlung

GLOSSARY

Pronounced “eyen-foo-loong.” A German word literally meaning, “feeling into” – the act of projecting oneself into another body or environment. This projection is a kind of “displacement” (Versetzung) of oneself into another body or environment, with the aim of understanding how it feels to be in that other body or environment. See also empathy. Contrast with sympathy.
