Cognitive Defusion

GLOSSARY

Reducing the functions of thoughts by altering the context in which they occur, rather than attempting to alter the form, frequency, or situational sensitivity of the thoughts themselves. Changing the literal and functional context in which verbal/cognitive events occur to reduce their impact.
