Task-Positive Network (TPN)
GLOSSARY
sam
Regions of the brain, including the lateral prefrontal cortex, dorsal parietal cortex, sensory-motor cortices, and the cerebellum, that become active when individuals engage in attention-demanding cognitive tasks such as working memory, paying attention, and goal-directed tasks. Often contrasted with the Default Mode Network (DMN), though the DMN should not be considered a ‘task-negative’ network.
