Positive Organizational Scholarship (POS)

GLOSSARY

The study of especially positive outcomes, processes, and attributes of organizations and their members. Positive Organizational Scholarship focuses on dynamics that are typically described by words such as excellence, thriving, flourishing, abundance, resilience, or virtuousness. The field focuses on enablers (e.g., processes, capabilities, structures, methods), motivations (unselfishness, altruism, contribution without regard to the self), and outcomes or effects (vitality, meaningfulness, exhilaration, high-quality relationships) associated with positive phenomena. See also Positive Organizational Behaviour (POB).
