GLOSSARY

Pronounced “heer-eyeth.” Derived from the Welsh words hir (long) and aeth (pain, grief). An “acute longing for a home-place or time to which you cannot return and without which you are incomplete.” Related (but not synonymous) with nostalgia and homesickness.
